90s Pride Prom 2024
June 15, 2024
Our first “at home” Pride Prom! Lots of fun and funky pass around bites like ham and leek curry croquettes, fancy mini hot dogs with kimchi mayo and crispy ramen bits, and pizza! (Braised shortrib, pickled mushroom, miso cauliflower sauce)
We also had DJ Chungy spinning tunes all night, performances by drag icon Sassi Fran, and a screen printing pop up by Both& Apparel.
Studio Ghibli Dinner
July 22-23, 2023
Deluxe Queer’s most popular dinner to date, featuring a dinner party and menu inspired by the films of Studio Ghibli. The menu included a Taiwanese street food feast inspired by the infamous scene where Chihiro’s parents get turned into pigs from Spirited Away, and a dreamy white chocolate pineapple dessert inspired by the stunning landscapes of Miyazaki’s work.
Spring Garden Party Dinner

An indoor - outdoor dinner at one of our friends’ place in the Castro! We had spring-y pass around appetizers like minty crostini with pickled radishes, fresh gazpacho, roasted lamb for mains, and the best ever Fruit Loop panna cotta!
DQ 1-Year Anniversary Dinner

A celebration of Deluxe Queer’s first year of serving dinners and vibes… like a extra crazy kid’s birthday party. Lo Hei (a Singaporean Lunar New Year salad) gets tossed together as we wish for good things for the coming year, alongside seared duck with a funky mole, and the most gobsmacking dessert trio featuring of the greatest hits of the year, as well as a new invention.
